Grants for GED training for farmworkers offered
The US Dept. of Education is offering grants to community organizations and educational institutions to help migrant and seasonal farm workers and their children obtain a general education diploma (GED) that meets state guidelines for high school equivalency, and to gain employment or be placed in an institution of higher education or other postsecondary education training.
Up to sixteen grants averaging $446,000 are planned. Click here for the funding announcement.
