Duties
Reporting to the Director of Educational Talent Search, the High School Coordinator will work closely with school counselors, teachers, academy leaders, community partners, and other appropriate personnel to provide academic support, information and services to approximately 300 eligible students in grades 9-12. The High School Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting students and providing them with grade-appropriate support services that will encourage and enable students to successfully complete high school and adequately prepare for enrollment in post-secondary schools.
Qualifications
A Master’s Degree in education, counseling or related field required and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with low-income, first generation students. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, presentation and technology skills. Knowledge about the college preparatory process required. Must be a self-starter and highly committed to being a leader for students. Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
