Posted by Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia on February 25, 2020
We are excited to announce that author and economist Raghuram Rajan will give keynote remarks on May 27 in Philadelphia at Reinventing Our Communities (ROC): Equity InSight. Don’t miss out on this three-day event focusing on local solutions to expand access to equity in housing, jobs, and wealth.
Rajan, author of The Third Pillar: How Markets and the State Leave the Community Behind, will discuss how healthy local communities are a critical support for balanced economic growth. Afterward, he’ll join a panel of experts in a conversation to explore two cornerstones of opportunity: housing and education.
Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago’s Booth School. His previous positions include governor of the Reserve Bank of India, vice chairman of the board of the Bank for International Settlements, and chief economist at the International Monetary Fund.
