Healthy families, healthy communities
LISC, PACDC, & Jefferson U to offer training on healthy community development strategies
It turns out that how healthy we all are is greatly determined by our zip codes. That’s why across the country LISC is pursuing partnerships between community development organizations and health providers, helping people stay healthy by revitalizing neighborhoods and encouraging social involvement. (To learn more about this approach, check out this article by LISC National Program Director for health, Amy Gillman).
On October 21st, Philadelphia LISC, PACDC, & Jefferson University will host a local workshop for fellow community development practitioners and health professionals to learn more about what we have done and what is possible when we partner to build healthier families and communities.
Tuesday, October 21st from 9:30 until 3:30
Jefferson University, 1020 Locust Street, Solis-Cohen Auditorium
Cost: PACDC Members $25. (Price includes materials and refreshments); Non-Member: $35
