Cigna Welcomes Applications for Healthier Kids For Our Future® Mental Health Grant Program
The health insurance company Cigna is inviting applications for its Healthier Kids For Our Future® Mental Health Grant program.
The program seeks to supplement existing mental health programming and close gaps both in and outside the school environment, with a focus on loneliness, anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention. Programs will be funded that foster collaboration between stakeholders — including school administrators and teachers, clinicians, and local and national nonprofits — aimed at addressing mental health and emotional well-being challenges for children. Partners are encouraged to leverage one or more of the following evidence-based programs: Trauma Informed Practices (TIPS); Social-Emotional Learning (SEL); or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Grants of between $50,000 and $125,000 a year for up to three years will be awarded through the program.
To be eligible, applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
See the Cigna website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
Deadline: February 26, 2021
