If so, you wont want to miss this series of webinars on navigating the healthcare system in PA.
These sessions will give an overview of what resources and supports are available for those who are having problems getting healthcare, how to appeal if your healthcare services are denied or reduced, and many other topics:
Medicaid Know Your Rights – Friday January 15, 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Those enrolled in Medical Assistance have certain rights built into their coverage as well as benefits that enhance their coverage. In this session you will learn about those rights and benefits, as well as how to navigate the appeals and grievances process to ensure you get the care you need.
This session will be led by an independent consultant who has more than 30 years’ experience working to improve access to health care services in Medicaid and who has won for clients countless cases that have restored benefits, reversed decisions, or facilitated eligibility.

Filing a Civil Rights Complaint – Friday January 22, 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Presented by the PA Office of the Attorney General, this session will include an overview of your civil rights as a healthcare consumer in PA, when and how to file complaints with the Attorney General’s office related to healthcare availability, quality, and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other civil rights issues.

Seeking Legal Help when Denied Care – Friday January 29, 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Presented by the PA Health Law Project, this session will explain how you can obtain free legal help if your healthcare services are denied or reduced as well as how to appeal these decisions.
