Healthcare and Aging Awards to Recognize Innovative Programs
Deadline: September 17, 2004

The Healthcare and Aging Network of the American Society on Aging (<a href="http://asaging.org/">http://asaging.org/</a>), in collaboration with Pfizer Medical Humanities Initiative, invites submissions for its sixth annual Healthcare and Aging Awards recognizing outstanding programs and services in healthcare and aging.

In 2005, the awards will be given to organizations that have demonstrated high-quality, innovative programs that enhance the health-related quality of life in older adults.

Winning programs will be honored at the 2005 Joint Conference of ASA and the National Council on the Aging, to be held in Philadelphia from March 10 to 13, 2005. Up to six programs will receive cash awards of $2,500, one-night’s lodging for one person at the conference, and a one-year complimentary membership to ASA and the Healthcare and Aging Network.

Applicant programs must be providing healthcare or health-promotion services to older adults. Healthcare organizations, homecare and community-based service providers, long-term care organizations, aging-network agencies, and others that meet this qualification are invited to apply. Applicants must be members of the American Society on Aging. (Applicants who are not currently ASA members may apply for membership at <a href="http://asaging.org/join">http://asaging.org/join</a>)

All applications should be submitted online. See the ASA Web site for complete eligibility information and application procedures.
