Health Programs and Partnerships Project Manager
Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation

The Free Library recently launched the Community Health and Literacy Center (CHLC) in South Philadelphia, affording it the opportunity to deepen its community impact by building a health literacy model that meets the acute and specific needs of the neighborhood and by evaluating how that model addresses social determinants of health in Philadelphia.

A full time, 12 month position will be created to set in place the health services model for the library. The Project Manager will create relationships with local health-based partners and key staff in the CHLC, such as social workers and other on-site social service representatives; develop programming based on customer demand and community need; vet potential partnerships using his/her public health expertise; and strive to be a central source of information about community resources for Library patrons and about Library resources for the public.

Additionally, the Project Manager will work with the University of Pennsylvania Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI) as the Center continues to support the Library with health strategy evaluation and training.
