MINORITY FACULTY DEVELOPMENT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
HRSA invites you to attend “A National Call to Action: Minority Faculty Development Leadership Summit,” March 29-30, 2005 at the Loews L’Enfant Plaza in Washington, DC. This Summit will launch HRSA’s Minority Faculty Development Model. The Minority Faculty Development Model will be used by health professions schools to train, recruit, and retain under-represented minority faculty. The three major areas in this Model are clinical training, research, and academic/teaching, encompassing 14 specific issues. The focus of these issues includes current and best practices. A panel of 15 expert professionals provided guidance on the Model, and represent allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and graduate programs in behavioral and mental health. The Summit will include a forum for the exchange of opinions and feedback about the Model. Representatives of health professions associations, and faculty and administrators from health professions schools and universities, are expected to attend. The Summit will play a critical role in refining and finalizing the Model. The registration fee is $150.00
For registration information, please contact Esmee Arthurton at 301-270-0841, ext. 257 or [email protected]. Visit the Summit Web site at http://www.afyainc.com/mfdls.htm.
