[posted from Community Campus Partnerships for Health newsletter]
This Guide, created by the Center for Health Improvement provides evidence-based, peer-reviewed policy guidance and resources to support advocacy and decision-making at the state and local levels. This is a database of public and private policies that have been implemented and shown to be effective to encourage healthy behavior, including tobacco use prevention and cessation, obesity prevention and unintentional injury prevention, among others. Each of the prevention-focused policies within the index of topics is presented in the form of a “profile” –complete with background information, policy ideas, examples of effectiveness and references, and contact information for additional resources.
