AMA Foundation Extends Deadline for Health Literacy Grants
Deadline: June 18, 2004
The American Medical Association Foundation (<a href="http://ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/3119.html">http://ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/3119.html</a>) has extended the deadline for the third series of grants it is awarding to programs that address low health literacy.
The foundation’s Health Literacy Grants program provides $500 to $4,000 for programs that promote clearer communication between patients and their physicians and other healthcare providers. The grants are awarded to four groups: medical students; residents and fellows; physicians, hospital staffs, and medical societies; and AMA Alliance groups and community organizations.
For further information, see the AMA Foundation Web site.
