Each day over 100 people die on U.S. roads. With 94 percent of crashes due to driver decision errors, there is ample room to prevent unnecessary tragedies. Texting while driving is just one example of dangerous behavior that people engage in despite well-publicized bans and education campaigns. Smartphone apps that measure risky driving, advanced auto safety technology, and insights from behavioral economics open a new generation of possibilities for widely deployable interventions. Join us as we explore scalable technology and behavioral approaches to help end the distracted driving epidemic.
