Workshop Description: Art is a natural tool for collaboration and provides an ideal platform on which youth can develop the skills necessary for meaningful participation in the 21st century workforce. This half-day workshop will review the current landscape of the creative economy and workplace in the new millennium, debunk myths surrounding art and art making, and demonstrate how the simple process of “creating” can stimulate and cultivate essential 21st century work skills, including flexibility and adaptability, productivity and accountability, initiative and self-direction, and teamwork and collaboration. Join us for this hands-on workshop and discover how you can infuse art and creativity into your program, helping young people internalize 21st century work skills.
