Hands-on Camp!
Join students at Webster Elementary School this summer for our exciting pilot year of Hands-on Camp. This free camp is designed to enhance academic achievement and promote civic engagement for children grades 1 through 3, and to be a rewarding experience and a whole lot of fun for kids, teens and adults alike!
Hands On Camp opens on July 8th and runs for 6 weeks; Monday-Thursday, 9-12pm. Children will graduate Hands-on Camp with a sense that helping others is a rewarding experience and they can make a difference through volunteering. There are 4 full-time counselor positions and 2 part-time counselor positions available with a summer stipend. We are also looking for 45 volunteers each day to get involved with Hands-on Camp. If you are interested in joining the fun this summer, please call Philadelphia Cares at 215-564-4544.
