The Green Schools Program is an initiative that empowers Philadelphia students to create a cleaner, greener, and safer city through innovative recycling and sustainability projects. Schools receive up to $2,500 to fund their recycling or sustainability initiatives. This program encourages students to practice sustainability efforts, gaining valuable skills they can share in their homes and communities. By fostering this creativity, it highlights the power of young ideas to make a significant difference for our city and planet.
This year, the program introduces exciting new features, including a public exhibit where projects can be showcased and voted on by the community, an interactive website providing year-round visibility, and special recognition for all participants, with awards for standout contributions.
