Green Roofs for Watershed Protection: July 24th

Teaching about green roofs is a great way to bring together the concepts of plant adaptations, watershed protection, habitat enhancement and energy conservation. Charles Miller, President of Roofscapes, Inc. and a national authority on green roofs will introduce you to their history and construction while expanding on the important benefits of green roofs to the environment. Teachers will receive a variety of material resources and strategies to engage students. Construct a desktop model of a living green roof to use in your classroom. This workshop is funded by a DEP EE grant.
