GPUAC honors leaders at 40th anniversary breakfast
The Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition will holds its 40th Anniversary Breakfast on Friday, November 20th from 7:45-9:30 a.m., at the Crystal Tea Room in Wanamaker Building, Juniper and Market Streets in Philadelphia.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “40 Years of “Driving Change from the Ground Up,” and recognize distinguished members of the Philadelphia community: James Brown, President and CEO of Alpha Office Supplies will receive the Edward G. Rendell “Doer” Award; Lisa Nutter, President of Philadelphia Academies and Nicholas Torres, President of Congreso de Latinos Unidos, who will receive the Ernest E. Jones Community Leadership Award. City Councilwoman Marian B. Tasco will be honored with the Dwight Evans Living Legacy Award.
GPUAC is a nonprofit organization committed to solving urban issues through partnerships between the grassroots community, business and government. With a network of 90 program partners reaching throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, GPUAC drives change through policies, programs and helping nonprofits realize their potential.
