[Preregistration for this event is now open. Please see the exerpt below from the OCtech email digest. Also, if you run an email list and you can include notice of this event, we’d greatly appreciate it!]
As we indicated in a letter mailed to past participants in March, Organizers’ Collaborative is holding its third annual, affordable meeting on “Grassroots Use of the
Internet” in June this year. The conference includes a focus on accessible technology for activists and is not at all limited to what you can do using the Internet.
The date is SATURDAY, JUNE 22. This is 1 week AFTER a somewhat-related event in Austin, TX sponsored by CTCNET.org, and 2 days BEFORE a topically related event in Northern CA sponsored by http://www.RUCKUS.org. (We don’t recommend that you try to attend all three events, but at least it’s possible!)
FYI, http://organizenow.net/conference/pdf/agenda.pdf is a link to the full program of last year’s event, and some additional information is at http://www.organizenow.net . The web site for the 2002 event will be up by May 15.
You still have over 7 weeks to make arrangements to attend this year’s conference. The agenda is taking now shape. We expect to have about a dozen groups presenting, as we did last yea , on technology that is relevant for nonprofits and other
groups that engage in grassroots organizing.
SPACES MUST BE RESERVED for attendance. 110 people reserved last year and 100 showed up (despite a snowstorm the night before). All you need to do to reserve a space is to send an email w/address and phone to oc@organizenow.net. Just
indicate the number of “slots” you need to reserve and who they are for. You can cancel at any time up to 1 week beforehand. Details (hotels, maps, etc.) are included below.

p.s. If your organization would like to be listed as a co-sponsor please let us know and we’ll send you a packet on Monday with the sponsorship rates.
You are invited to the third annual all-day meeting on:
