Grants Program Manager

Metropolitan Career Center is seeking a Grants Program Manager, responsible for the growth and sustainability of MCC’s foundation, corporate, grants, and sponsorships, to fund programs, capital projects and events. The Development team is working with a recently completed Development Plan, with targets for growth among all giving constituencies. Led by a CFRE and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, the Development team is poised to turn this successful development program into a highly successful program.

Duties: Work with a diverse team to conceive and define current and new programs and projects ripe for funding. Proactively identify new foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities. Write proposals, reports, and other materials to fund and promote MCC. Track and report submission and reporting deadlines. Work with program staff to assure MCC achieves grant goals and reporting requirements. Work with Development and Marketing/Communications teams to create publications for various audiences. Work with Development and Marketing/Communications teams to plan and implement events. Maintain electronic and paper files on all current, prospective, and lapsed foundation, corporate and government funders.

Qualifications: Success writing, managing and reporting grants from foundations, corporations and government agencies. Excellent writing skills, with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire through the written word. Success managing complex projects to meet deadlines and performance requirements. Ability to work comfortably in a diverse environment. Preferred: CFRE, o demonstrated interest in attaining CFRE. Demonstrated resourcefulness in networking and creating success.
