Job description
Community Integrated Services is a non-profit agency that helps enable people with disabilities to become fully integrated into and involved in their communities. Our focus is to support people as they find and keep jobs in the community.
We are searching for a Grant Writer who will be primarily responsible for our fundraising efforts beyond our traditional funding sources. The successful applicant must be a highly organized professional who can effectively manage weekly submissions of new grant applications throughout the year. Must have proven experience in research, proposal development and grant writing/reporting.
Responsibilities:
Write persuasive, compelling proposals, applications, reports and other materials as assigned
Research prospective foundation and corporate funders, identify specific areas of focus/eligibility, prioritize recommendations and alert directors to funding opportunities
Report on grants submitted, win-loss, and upcoming opportunities
Develop and manage a portfolio of institutional funders to meet annual contributed revenue goals, track incoming gifts and identify new potential funders
Review grant agreements and ensure that all reporting requirements and deadlines are met. Ensure compliance with content requirements and submission deadlines for all interim/final reports
Create and maintain a library of templates, consisting of written descriptions of CIS, it’s history and mission, programs and services, population served, financial condition, philosophy/vision
