Grand Rounds – Gun Violence and Health: Unpacking the Causes and Building Solutions – Oct 15
Posted by CeaseFirePA on October 14, 2025
Last year, the US Surgeon General declared gun violence a public health crisis. It wasn’t a surprise to the doctors, nurses and surgeons who try to repair bullet wounds every day.
On October 15, 5:30-7:00 PM, the College of Physicians of Philadelphia will explore this crisis – and the policies and investments that can end it.
Featured panelists include Coach V of Open Door Abuse Awareness Prevention, a certified Trauma-Competent Professional and a sought-after speaker and educator, Debra O’Connor of Moms Demand Action, and Dr. Stanton Miller of Jefferson, the Executive Director of the Jefferson Center for Injury Research and Prevention (JCIRP).
Location: College of Physicians of Philadelphia, 19 S 22nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
This event is free and open to the public. We will share facts about the reality of gun violence in Philadelphia, legislative updates, and timely calls to action.
