Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center Program Coordinator
Office of Student Affairs
Graduate Assistant/Program Coordinator Duties:
This is an unpaid position.
– Develop, coordinate and implement campus-based programs and events that raise awareness about women’s issues.
– Determine student programming needs by analyzing monthly program assessments and web-based survey monkey results.
– Develop, coordinate and implement activities for the Center’s student support groups.
– Develop, coordinate and implement a leadership retreat for women students.
– Coordinate special projects at the discretion and request of the Director.
– Maintain a database of women’s resource programs and organizations.
– Maintain and update Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center Resource Library.
– Update and maintain Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center bulletin board, online calendar of events, and Facebook page.
– Work collaboratively with Student students, staff, work study students, and other Student Affairs administrative personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Interest in women’s and gender issues
– Experience in program and event planning
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Excellent computer skills
– Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work with diverse groups of people at all levels
– Self-starter and detail-oriented
– Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

The Women’s Outreach and Advocacy Center is dedicated to issues of gender and equity on campus. Its mission is to identify and meet the needs specific to women students through services that include referral and advocacy, training, awareness workshops, crises intervention, and a library of information.
