Going Blue Named Learning Magazine 2011 Teachers’ Choice Award Winner
Going Blue: A Teen Guide to Saving Our Oceans, Lakes, Rivers, & Wetlands by Cathryn Berger Kaye and Philippe Cousteau has been selected as a Learning Magazine 2011 Teachers’ Choice Awards for the Family winner. The Teachers’ Choice Awards program is one of the most recognized and prestigious awards in the educational market. Teachers’ Choice for the Family is the only awards program that requires evaluators to be both a teacher and a parent. The book was evaluated on educational value, originality and creativity, ease of use, safety and durability, and high-interest level and motivation for children. Going Blue will be spotlighted in the April 2011 issue of Learning. Going Blue was also given a Starred Review in the School Library Journal.
