Global Youth Service Day
April 15-17, 2011
How are you going to change your world on Global Youth Service Day? GYSD is the largest annual service event in the world and the only one that specifically celebrates the role young people play in improving communities and changing the world. Over a million young people will participate in thousands of youth-led community service or service-learning projects in all 50 states and over 100 countries. With half the world’s population under age 25, there is not a problem across the globe that a young person does not have a hand in solving. YSA awarded more than $1 million in grants to nearly 900 schools, organizations and youth across the U.S. and around the world to support GYSD projects. Already, over 750 projects in 46 states and 42 countries have registered on GYSD.org. To download free project planning tools, register your project, or find events and celebrations in your community, visit http://www.GYSD.org
