Nominations of Global Innovators Invited for Tech Museum Awards
Deadline: April 4, 2005 (Nominations)

A program of the San Jose-based Tech Museum of Innovation (http://thetech.org/), the Tech Museum Awards honor innovators and visionaries from around the world who are applying technology to improve the human condition in the categories of education, equality, environment, health, and economic development. The program is designed to inspire global engagement in applying technology to humanity’s most pressing problems by recognizing the best of those who are utilizing innovative technology solutions to address the most urgent critical issues facing the world.

Nominations are accepted in five categories: education, equality, environment, health, and economic development. Once a nomination is received and validated, nominees will be contacted and invited to submit an application.

At the program’s awards gala each fall, five laureates in each category are honored, and $250,000 in cash prizes are awarded.

Nominations may be made by anyone who can identify a worthy candidate, including self-nominations, and are accepted year round. The nomination deadline for the 2005 awards is April 4, 2005. Applications must be submitted by May 2, 2005.

Nominations can be submitted online at the Tech Museum Awards Web site. See the site for complete program information and details on previous award recipients.
