Giving and Beyond: Leveraging Privilege and Resources for Grassroots Movements
Posted by on March 23, 2009
What does it mean to be a donor and an activist? How can people with access to wealth support grassroots social justice movements?
These are some of several questions that will be discussed at our exciting new workshop, Giving and Beyond: Leveraging Privilege and Resources for Grassroots Movements. This workshop will be held on Sunday April 5 from 1-5 p.m. To read more about the workshop and to register, click:

Giving and Beyond will be facilitated by donor and activist Tyrone Boucher who facilitated our Creating a Giving Plan Workshop for Young Activists with Wealth workshop last year. This interactive workshop is designed specifically for people who support movements for social justice and who have access to financial wealth currently or in the future, inherited or earned. Space is limited to 15 people, so if you are interested, please register today!
In addition to providing grants and technical assistance to grassroots groups in the region, Bread & Roses offers forums for these kinds of important discussions about class and wealth in our country.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us. Together, we are creating the kind of real change that makes our community better and benefits us all.
