Kiki Magazine Offers Girls Leadership Grant Opportunity to Educators
Deadline: April 19, 2010
Kiki Magazine has announced a grant opportunity for educators working with girls in grades six, seven, and/or eight.
Grow Strong Girls Through Leadership is a new initiative from the magazine in partnership with the Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation to develop girls’ leadership programs. The purpose of this Request for Proposals is two-fold: to support innovative school-based girls’ leadership programs that would otherwise not exist, and to produce a girls’ leadership toolkit, including some of the innovative curricula developed by grant recipients.
Schools eligible to submit applications are full-time, state-chartered schools across the U.S. that enroll girls in grades six, seven, and/or eight. Applicants must also subscribe to Kiki Magazine.
Kiki Magazine will award five grants of up to $1,500 each. In addition, five grants will be offered by the Women’s Fund to applicants located in the eight-county Greater Cincinnati region.
For complete eligibility requirements or to apply, visit the Kiki Magazine Web site.
