Getting Started With The Carver Science Fair Workshop – Nov 13

The Philadelphia Education Fund, in collaboration with Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center, is looking for up to 15 dedicated middle and high school educators (4th-12th grade) to participate in a Getting Started With The Carver Science Fair workshop. This interactive session will include best practices in hands-on science education, learning about the George Washington Carver Science Fair, and working on a sample science fair project.
This FREE workshop will take place on Saturday, November 13th from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM at the Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center: 700 Cobbs Creek Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19143.
Additional Benefits:
Participants will receive a modest stipend and Act 48 credits. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Eligibility:
Participants must be classroom educators in the Philadelphia area serving students in the 4th-12th grade. To participate in this workshop, educators will need to show proof of completed Covid vaccination, and wear a mask unless eating or drinking. Registration is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.
