Get Out the Vote Phone Bank Volunteers Needed
Posted by on October 22, 2004
PathWaysPA is coordinating a phone bank at our new Holmes office on Tuesday, October 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. We will be calling registered voters in Delaware County to remind them to vote, to let them know where their polling location is, and to ask if they are interested in taking their neighbors to the polls should the need exist. We will have scripts available for volunteers to use, and if volunteers are not able to come to our office but would like to make phone calls, they are more than welcome to do so from their homes. Pizza will be provided.
PathWaysPA is also considering the possibility of going to area poll sites to distribute information on voters’ rights as voters enter/exit the polls. To this end, a colleague who is helping us with our voter mobilization initiative, is willing to come to our site to “train” people on what to say should we elect to do this. If there is enough interest, we will certainly coordinate this activity.
