Anxiety & Depression Initiative invites applications for Get Out and Get Active Grant program
The Anxiety & Depression Initiative (The ADI) works to promote the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle while living with anxiety, depression, and related disorders to provide general information about mental health resources and to overall help lessen the stigmas associated with anxiety, depression, and related disorders.
ADI invites applications for its Get Out and Get Active Grant program, which aims to support innovative projects that explore or promote the mental health benefits of physical activity, including community programs, educational initiatives, and research projects that improve mental health outcomes through movement-based interventions. To that end, ADI requests proposals that facilitate, advocate for, or research the benefits of physical activity to improve mental health outcomes, including reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, introducing an active lifestyle, and enhancing a general sense of well-being.
Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded for education, direct service, and research projects.
Initiatives that identify effective strategies for integrating physical activity as a mental health intervention will be prioritized. Proposals should explore and/or promote the intersection of physical activity and mental health across diverse populations and settings.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Anxiety & Depression Initiative website.
Deadline: May 30, 2025
