Get a Data Intern for Your Organization, UPenn Master of Public Health Program
Posted by University of Pennsylvania - Master of Public Health on March 11, 2025
The Applied Practice Experience (APE) for the University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program is seeking community preceptors who can provide hands-on Applied Practice opportunities for our Epidemiology track students. These opportunities can be in-person, hybrid, or remote and play a key role in helping students apply their skills in real-world public health settings.
Below is an example of a student currently seeking an opportunity:
“Hello everyone! I am a first-year student in the Epidemiology track of the UPenn MPH program, and I’m currently seeking an internship opportunity in Summer or Fall 2025 to fulfill my Applied Practice Experience (APE) requirement to meet my graduation requirements.
During my undergraduate studies, I gained research and internship experience focusing on Alzheimer’s disease and disease predictive modeling. In my first year of the MPH program, I also completed core PhD coursework, which helped me develop strong skills in health data analysis (including R and Stata programming) as well as a solid foundation in epidemiologic study design and causal inference.”
If anyone knows of relevant internship or project opportunities, or has any advice, please contact Nekia Rosado at [email protected]. If your organization has opportunities available, Nekia would love to connect and discuss how we can collaborate. Thank you for your time and support!
