Geographic Information Systems Workshop
Posted by on October 22, 2004
We are excited to invite you to enroll in a continuing education workshop on using geographic information systems (GIS) and the U.S. Census offered through the School of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania. This workshop is not part of the Cartographic Modeling’s Lab’s free training series, but we believe it may be relevant to the work you are doing.
The workshop runs from 9:30 to 3:30 on Tuesday, October 26th. The cost of registration is $100. During the morning session, participants will learn how GIS can be used to support program evaluation, needs assessments, and service delivery. In the afternoon, participants will learn how to gather census data from the Internet and work with some of the CML’s online mapping tools during a hands-on lab.
