Educational Requirements
A Master’s Degree in Social Work or other human service discipline (sociology, psychology, counseling, criminal justice, education, divinity, or public health administration) as per DHS contract requirement;
Work Experience Requirements
Must have at least three years of direct experience with children/families in either a job related or volunteer
capacity.
Supervisory Requirements
Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
Job Status
Full-time Permanent; Exempt
Qualifications
Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; must demonstrate leadership skills and qualities; must possess the knowledge of foster care services and client/family needs; must possess excellent clinical skills and ability to respond to crisis using clinical judgment.
Responsibilities
To be directly responsible for the supervision of assigned casework staff;
To review all documentation related to the specific casework tasks; specifically including review of quarterly reports, ISPs, structured case notes and safety assessments.
To interface with client and management staff regarding client specific issues;
To prepare written reports to the Vice President and the Executive Team on designated subjects as requested;
To gather monthly statistical data on client information, performance outcomes, etc; and develop and implement plans to address deficiencies within the department
Ensure that all staff are completing reports and safety assessments as reflected in the GFC tracking system. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the tracking system.
To interface with the fiscal department to address client issues; such as board payments to foster parents.
To develop and administer of appropriate program policies and procedures for maximum success of foster care services;
Conduct ongoing internal audits on all general foster care files including open foster homes, active child cases and aftercare cases.
Attend necessary provider meetings with DHS regarding Performance Based Contracting
To establish and implement program protocols specific to DPW and DHS requirements;
