Futures Thinking for Educational Leaders: An Introduction to Scenario Planning During and After the Crisis – June 4
Posted by Philadelphia Education Fund on May 19, 2020
Join us VIRTUALLY on June 4th, 9:30-10:45 AM for our June session of the Philadelphia Education Fund (PEF’s) monthly speaker series, Education First Compact.
During Covid, how do we organize ourselves to envision a new future for schools, and shift from a mainly reactive mode to a mainly proactive one? This is a Big Question – and a fascinating one indeed – that we will explore together in this Education First Compact session.
Co-presenters, Homa Tavangar and Will Richardson of the Big Questions Institute, will: introduce some of the basic concepts of “futures thinking” that education leaders can apply; consider what’s sacred to our schools that we want to keep in 2020 and beyond; and teach the basic steps for scenario planning that can be applied to a range of uncertainties, and help us to lead with more strategic foresight.
