Funding Available for Student Election Worker Recruitment Efforts
Posted by Students Learn Students Vote Coalition on October 13, 2020
There remains an unprecedented shortage of election/poll workers in the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Lehigh County areas.
The SLSV Coalition is committed to ensuring that student voters have easy and equal access to multiple types of voting options so we are encouraging campuses and nonprofit partners to safely and responsibly recruit students to consider filling these important positions.
We invite you to apply for our Student Election Worker Recruitment Grants to support your recruitment efforts. Grants in the amount of $5,000-$10,000 are available. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, but we encourage you to apply as soon as possible using this short form: https://slsvcoalition.typeform.com/to/lbroIOeP.
Additionally, please note, that we are here to support your efforts every step of the way. We’ve also created the SLSV Coalition’s Student Election Worker Recruitment Toolkit (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u_9uZyBc2juXS9IbdwqOrammHIDBYW2zMvBreNATpM4/edit) to make it easy for you to dive right into recruitment efforts.
Please reach out to either Margaret Trombly at [email protected] or Eddy Zerbe at [email protected] with any questions.
Together, we can help ensure that no polling place goes without the necessary poll workers needed this year.
