Fundamentals of Human Resources

The essential framework
Through the years, Fundamentals of Human Resources has been one of the most popular and impactful classes we offer because it provides an essential framework for understanding the major human resource responsibilities critical to any nonprofit organization.
Given that workplace laws guide and control so much of our interactions with employees, this class devotes great concentration to the major workplace laws and legal principles that govern the employee relationship. In addition, you will learn about the importance of good policies and procedures in creating an effective working environment.
This class also tackles two of the most common and challenging HR responsibilities: addressing performance problems and hiring the right people. Our step-by-step guide to these issues will change the way you approach these essential responsibilities.
When*: 11/14/17, 9 am to 4 pm
Where: Historical Society of PA, 1300 Locust St., Phila.
Cost: $129 for Members/$159 for Non-Members
