Fundamentals of Human Resources
Posted by La Salle Nonprofit Center on April 24, 2017
The end goal of “human resources” is an effective workforce. Only a staff that is satisfied and united in its commitment to achieving impact can successfully fulfill its mission. But HR is also an area notoriously neglected in the nonprofit world, simply because resources are so scarce.
Even those organizations who lack a dedicated HR department (or even staffer) can learn the primary responsibilities, legal principles and workplace laws which guide and control so much of what we do with employees. That is the essence of “Fundamentals of Human Resources.”
