Arts Council sets governance workshops
The Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia has scheduled two full-day workshops aimed at helping arts or cultural organizations strengthen governance practices and better engage board members in fundraising strategies. Both workshops are designed to be attended by at least one staff member and one board member together. Both will run from 9am to 3:30pm and will be hosted by University of the Arts at Hamilton Hall, 320 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia.
Fundamentals of Board Governance, les by Lee Daney, President of North Star Strategies, Inc., will be held on Thursday, November 11th, and Governance and Philanthropy: The Role of the Board Member, led by Robbe Healy of Farr Healey Consulting LLC will be held on Thursday, December 9th.
