#FUELHigherEd Campaign Leader Training, Campus Hunger – Oct 20
Posted by Challah for Hunger on October 13, 2020
Before COVID-19, 1 in 3 college students experienced food insecurity, and 3 in 5 students are experiencing basic needs insecurity during the pandemic. With over 150 colleges and universities in the state, and many major schools in Philadelphia, we cannot ignore the realities students are facing in our community.
In partnership with Young Involved Philadelphia for the State of Young Philly, Challah for Hunger is mobilizing our city to create Fundamental, Universal, Equitable, and Long-Term policy changes to ensure no college student has to choose between food and their education through our national campaign, #FUELHigherEd.
Our movement’s impact is stronger when we lead our communities in collective action. Walk away from this training with new tools in community organizing with the #FUELHigherEd campaign, and a community of local leaders who have the same goals as you.
Date and Time: Tuesday, October 20, 2020, 1:00 pm
We recommend getting equipped to lead by exploring the campaign’s website (https://www.campushunger.org/), to get an overview of the issue, and ways we are taking collective action at https://www.campushunger.org/take-action.
