Fuel Up to Play 60
Funding opportunities are available to any qualified K-12 school enrolled in Fuel Up to Play 60. Sponsored by the National Dairy Council, state and regional Dairy Councils and other supporting organizations, the competitive, nationwide funding program provides seed money – up to $4,000 per school – to help a participating school’s Fuel Up to Play 60 team take actions critical to achieving program outcomes. The purpose of the funds is to help schools increase:
1. Student awareness of the importance of healthy eating and increased physical activity
2. Student access to and consumption of nutrient-rich foods, including low-fat and fat-free dairy, fruits, vegetables and whole grains
3. Student opportunities for and participation in physical activity in school
4. Sustainable changes in making schools healthier places
The application deadline is June 4, 2013. Click here for more information.
