FTC Introduces Resource for Counselors
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has developed a new set of tools especially for school counselors to help them educate students and their families about finance and consumer issues. Visit http://www.ftc.gov/counselors to check out the new website.
The FTC has also partnered with the Department of Education and the Department of Justice on Project Scholarscam, in compliance with the College Scholarship Fraud Prevention Act of 2000. Visit NACAC’s page on scholarship scams at http://www.nacac.com/preventscams.html to view latest scholarship scam news and link directly to the FTC campaign.
