French American Cultural Exchange Invites Project Grant Applications for Contemporary Art Fund
Deadline: March 31, 2006

French American Cultural Exchange (<a href="http://facecouncil.org/">http://facecouncil.org/</a>) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting contemporary creative work in the context of French-American cultural and educational exchange. FACE, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, administers programs and projects in music, theater, dance, cinema, education, and the visual arts.

A program of FACE, Etant donn?s: The French-American Fund for Contemporary Art offers financial support in the form of grants to American nonprofit institutions organizing exhibitions, installations, artist residencies, publications, or other projects by living French artists or to French nonprofit institutions presenting the same types of projects involving American artists.

Qualifying exhibitions may be in the fields of painting, drawing, sculpture, architecture, and design, as well as video art or any form of artistic endeavor applying new technologies.

Only nonprofit institutions may submit applications to the fund. In addition, American institutions must demonstrate their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; French organizations must provide proof of equivalent status for eligibility.

Please note that March 31, 2006 will be the only application deadline this year; there will be no fall deadline. Complete program guidelines, eligibility criteria, and application forms are available at the FACE Web site.
