Free Training: Neighborhood Information System
Posted by on October 31, 2003
Greetings from the Cartographic Modeling Lab at Penn:
Do you need detailed information about a specific property in your neighborhood? Are you looking for data to help write grants? Ever wanted to view Philadelphia data on a quick, detailed, and interactive website?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions you should attend a free hour-long training at the University of Pennsylvania about the Philadelphia Neighborhood Information System. The NIS is designed to help community-based organizations, government agencies, researchers and concerned individuals in their efforts to analyze, transform and revitalize Philadelphia neighborhoods.
You can learn more about and preview NIS at our website: http://cml.upenn.edu/nis.
The Cartographic Modeling Lab will be holding three trainings on parcelBase, neighborhoodBase, and muralBase on the follow dates:
November 5th from 1-2pm
November 12th from 10-11am
November 19th from 6-7pm
This is an introductory training designed primarily for new users. There is no cost for the training, however space is limited so pre-registration is required. If you would like to register for training please e-mail Bradley Breuer, NIS Outreach Coordinator, at [email protected] and include your name, organization, contact information, and your preferred training date. E-mail is the best way to register for the training as it ensures that I?ll get your message directly. We hope to see you in one of our upcoming trainings. If you know someone who would benefit from this training, please forward this message to that person. Thanks!
Cheers,
Bradley Breuer
