Free Screening of “NO!”
Posted by on November 1, 2002
On Wednesday, November 13th at 6:00pm, at the Owl Cove of Mitten Hall, Temple University (Broad and Burks Streets–NE Corner), there will be a FREE screening of “NO!” (The Documentary Rough Cut), by Aishah Shahidah Simmons, which will be followed by a Panel Discussion with Aishah Shahidah Simmons, Student Representative(s), and Faculty/Administration Representative(s). This event is organized and sponsored by Alpha Phi Alphi Fraternity, Inc. (Phi Ro Chapter) and The Office of The Vice President of Student Affairs.
“NO!” is a feature length documentary whose goal is to create a sacred space within which Black women and men, outraged about intra-racial rape and sexual assault, challenge the Black community to look inward and confront this issue, through their testimonies, scholarship, activism, and art.
