Free Screening and Panel Discussion: Vaccination from the Misinformation Virus – Dec 14

This documentary,”Vaccination from the Misinformation Virus,” airing nationally on PBS (VIEW TRAILER), explains why vaccines are safe, crucial to community health, and save millions of lives annually. The program addresses how we can all be fooled by misinformation in a variety of ways. In addition to the documentary, the project includes short videos for health professionals to use when explaining these issues to those who have concerns.
Date and Time: Tuesday, December 14 from 8:00 – 10:00 am (Mountain Time)
After the 56 minute screening, Chris Schueler, the documentary’s Emmy Award-winning director will moderate a panel discussion featuring several of the film’s experts including:
- Dr. Walter Dehority, associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center
- Dr. Melvina McCabe, professor emeritus of family medicine and geriatric fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine
- RADM (ret) Pamela Schweitzer, PharmD, former Assistant US Surgeon General
Registration is required. There is no cost to attend. We have applied for contininuing education for nurses, counselors and social workers.
