Free Promotional Materials for PHIL Energy Loans

Posted by on November 17, 2006

We are pleased to announce that the PHIL Energy Loan is now available for Philadelphia homeowners with less-than-perfect credit. This loan, like the Mini-PHIL Home Improvement Loan, is an unsecured loan of $1,000-$10,000. It is designed specifically for energy conservation improvements such as replacing an old heater with a new, energy-efficient one, adding insulation or installing a storm door. To qualify an applicant must obtain a highly informative “energy audit” through the Energy Coordinating Agency the cost of which will be paid through loan proceeds.

Five City-funded housing counseling agencies that are also designated Neighborhood Energy Centers will provide the counseling and begin the application process. They are: ACORN, Congreso, Partnership CDC, Southwest CDC and New Kensington CDC.

We are now taking orders for promotional materials:

. 4×9 inch cards in English on one side and Spanish on the other (in packets of 100)
. Plastic, countertop holders for the cards
. 12X18 inch posters in English on the left side and Spanish on the right

Please advise Shante Antrom-Gowans what you would like to have. Her number is 215-851-1740. Her e-mail is sgowans@gpuac.org.

The PHIL Energy Loans are provided by Citizens, Commerce, PNC, Sovereign and United Banks. The program is made possible with funding from the City of Philadelphia through the Neighborhood Transformation Initiative, Empowerment Zone and Office of Housing and Community Development. The program is administered by the CED Department of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition in partnership with the Energy Coordinating Agency. The advertising materials are a courtesy of the Citizens Bank Foundation.

Thank you,
Don Kelly
