Saturday, April 26, 2003: Free Parenting Conference from 9:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. at the Germantown Women’s Y, 5820 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144.
Call: 215-753-2000 to register. Conference sponsored by Chestnut Hill Hospital and the Germantown Women’s Y Child Care Center to help families enhance their parenting skills. The goal of the conference is to help parents raise children to survive and thrive. Featured speakers: Dr. Sandra Bloom – speaking about Healing Emontional Trauma and Dr. Howard Stevenson, Dr. Gwendolyn Davis, and Saburah Abdul-Kabir the authors of “Stickin to, Watchin over, getting with” an African American Parents Guide to Child Development.
