Free Federal and State Tax Filing
Get your taxes done with LIFT-Philadelphia

Members may file State & Federal taxes through regularly scheduled meetings during LIFT’s normal operating hours or at one of our Tax Nights
WHAT TO BRING:
FEDERAL:
• Home address and phone number
• Social Security numbers for your household
• Bank account and routing numbers
• 2014 1040 form and related documents
• Wage: W-2; 1099-MISC forms
• Retirement: 1099-R pensions; SSA-1099
• Unemployment: 1099-G
• Miscellaneous Income: W-2G (gambling winnings) alimony received; 1099-C (debt cancellation)
• If filing jointly, please bring: receipts for: • Child and dependent care • Contributions to an IRA or 401K • Medical and dental expenses • Mortgage interest paid and real estate taxes paid
STATE:
• ALL 2014 Federal Tax documents
• PA tax forms: PA-40ES (I), A-40ESR (I), 2013 PA-40, or PA-40V
• To claim a property tax and rent rebate, please bring:
• SSN
• Proof of age, address, and identity for yourself, your partner, and others on the lease • Real estate tax receipt and year-end mortgage • Tax collector letter certifying taxes paid
• Receipted copy of a tax billing from an owner’s corporation.
• Lease agreement of rent receipts showing amount paid and length of rental
All are welcome for Tax Night walk-in appointments from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on these dates:

APRIL
- Wednesday, April 1st
- Tuesday, April 7th
- Thursday, April 9th
- Monday, April 13th
LIFT cannot file taxes if:
– Household adjusted gross income (AGI) is greater than $65,000 for single filers or $95,000 for joint filers
– You are a dual-status or non-resident alien, a part-time or non-PA resident
– You need to file an amended return
To file a tax amendment for years prior to 2012, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers free tax services at the following sites:
