Free ESL Home Health Aide Training

District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund is accepting applicants for a FREE Home Health Aide training class for English as a Second Language (ESL) students at the high intermediate and advanced levels according to English Assessment Test results. Students must also have strong listening and speaking skills and be available for all class meetings November 5, 2018 – January 31, 2019. The ESL-HHA program offers an opportunity for those seeking immediate employment as an HHA or starting a career pathway in the health field. It’s also an opportunity to improve English skills and earning potential. Classes are co-taught by a Licensed Nurse and an ESL Support Instructor.
This FREE program begins November 5. Classes meet Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Upon successful completion, students will be certified as HHAs by the State of Pennsylvania.
