***DELIVER THE WORD***
Youth Empowerment Services, located at 1302 Race Streets in Philly, is offering FREE digital media training to city youth between the ages of 17 and 21 who are currently not in school and unemployed. Students will be taught how to operate digital video equipment, including Final Cut Pro and Peak DV Audio software. Students will also learn the basics of CD Audio production and Desktop Publishing. This is a yearlong program and successful students will qualify for internships as well as job and educational placements.
If you are aware of any youth between the ages of 17 and 21 who have an interest in digital media and who are out of school, please alert them to this unique opportunity. While classes began in January 2003, students can still enroll up until February 15, 2003. Please contact either Christian Rozier or H. Songhai at 215-972-0330 or songhai@yesphilly.org for further info.
